Past & Present
At Wood Recyclability we are proud of our history and look to the future with enthusiasm and ambition. We are a business ‘for people’ and take great pride in the fact we are supportive, friendly and a caring organisation.
We were established in 1997 as a Social Enterprise company as there was an identified need within Aberdeenshire to provide such a training centre. Since then there have been long established links across the three Local Authorities and business sector.
We are one of a few Centres that provide a real work place setting for adults with a variety of abilities.
Over the years the Centre has received recognition for its work.
In August 2002
We were one of two firms in the United Kingdom to receive a certificate from the World Sustainability Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In September 2004
We were honoured to receive a visit by The Princess Royal who was most impressed with the work that was being undertaken.
In March 2007
We were joint winners of C.R.N.S. (Community Resources Network Scotland) member of the year award.
We received a trophy from the European Social Fund (ESF) Objective three Partnership, for the most effective use of ESF funding by a Social Enterprise within Scotland.
Our Prioirties for 2016 – 2017
